About Instructor-Led Training

· | Traditional instructor-led training is the typical format in which an instructor or instructors present content to the students in a classroom, workshop, or similar setting. When the instructor uses WBT Manager to take attendance, the students' lesson statuses are set to completed and they are credited with a standard lesson time. The instructor may use WBT Manager to launch a presentation file and may optionally make the presentation available for students to launch on their own.
|
· | Scheduled self-paced training is essentially a standard WBT Manager online session with some additional control and capabilities. Access to the lesson is limited to the scheduled time period. In addition to the normal AICC/SCORM lesson tracking, the student is marked "present" for ILT purposes upon entering the lesson. An instructor and location can be optionally associated with the lesson to facilitate a supervised environment or to include the online lesson as a component within a classroom presentation. However, in practice the student can access the lesson and receive credit from anywhere on the system.

· | Proctored exam ILT provides a secure system for verifying the identity of the students taking an online exam and requiring them to complete it in a proctored setting. The exam must be an AICC or SCORM-conformant lesson. It will be available to students only during the scheduled exam time and only after the instructor marks them present and provides them with a password for the lesson. This arrangement allows the instructor/proctor to check student IDs and ensure that the students actually in the room are the only ones who can access the lesson.
